Charlotte, NC control systems integrator celebrates milestone.

CHARLOTTE, NC – This summer marks the 20th anniversary of Affinity Energy. The control systems integrator has a national portfolio of over 800 power automation projects, and a rich depth of expertise working with mission-critical facilities, distributed generation plants, energy companies, engineering firms, and construction contractors. The company has grown from the entrepreneurial dream of founder and president, Allan Evora, and uses its industry-specific background to help its customers operate efficiently, safely, and reliably.

“Throughout the company’s history, we’ve always remained committed to providing the best service to customers by hiring exceptional engineers and staff who believe in our mission,” said Evora. “I am proud of the company’s growth over the past 20 years, and the team members who are dedicated to their craft and client service.”

Over the past two decades, Affinity Energy (originally Affinity Automation) has had a rich history of growth and innovation. In 2002, Evora started the company as a systems integrator specializing in electrical power management systems (EPMS). The company took advantage of its rapid growth in size and services and in 2010 expanded its offerings to focus on mission-critical and distributed generation instrumentation, controls, and SCADA systems.

By 2014, Affinity Energy expanded again to include its Renewable Energy division. “Today, Affinity Energy has over 1 GW in utility-scale PV and BESS projects deployed,” said Evora. “We have the technology and experience to offer our clients affordability and peace of mind.”

Over the years, Affinity Energy has been able to forge strong partnerships both locally and throughout the Southeast with customers, such as:

  • Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station
  • DC Blox
  • Duke Energy
  • Novant Health
  • University of North Carolina
  • Wells Fargo
